Fashion and Social Change
Susan J. Jerome, Collections Manager at the University of Rhode Island Historic Textile and Costume Collection, will explore how the many social, technological, and political changes of the early twentieth century influenced the notable evolution of both women’s and men’s fashion. The powerpoint presentation will look back at what was fashionable - real or otherwise - and at some of the influential designers and persons involved in the years of the first five seasons of Downton.
